DAF

Superficial DAF

Product Details

Superficial DAF, a dissolved air flotation system designed with a shallow tank that uses about 40% less installation area than conventional systems, focusing on separating floated sludge at the water surface. Suitable for limited spaces and for adding to existing systems, complete with a built-in micro bubble generation system and automatic sludge scraper blades. It removes more than 90% of FOG and SS and efficiently reduces BOD/COD.

Key Features: Superficial DAF
  • Shallow tank, using about 40% less area than Horizontal DAF
  • Separates surface sludge and removes more than 90% of FOG/SS
  • Built-in micro bubble generation system and automatic sludge scraper blades
  • Automatic operation and easy control
  • Easy to install or retrofit into existing systems
Benefits: Superficial DAF
  • Installs in limited spaces or reinforces existing systems
  • Reduces structural work and basin depth (low CAPEX)
  • Reduces the FOG/SS load on downstream systems
  • Saves space and installation costs
Working Principle: Superficial DAF
  • 1. Wastewater passes through coagulation-flocculation.
  • 2. Pressurized air-saturated water releases micro-bubbles that attach to the flocs.
  • 3. The flow path is designed to separate sludge at the surface within the shallow tank.
  • 4. Floating sludge is skimmed off automatically while clarified water is discharged from below.
Supported Industries
  • Food and beverage plants
  • Central kitchens and service businesses
  • Retrofit projects on existing systems
  • Sites with limited installation space that still need DAF performance
